Default any fast way to use items in your inventory?

I'm working on a build to use dwarven stability along with alcohol to prevent KDs ... now in the middle of battle is there a way to use alcohol other than opening my inventory and clicking it ?!?!

something like binding a key to a specific slot in the inventory so that when I click that key my char automaticaly uses the first item in my inventory.

Thanks in advance.

Nope. Nothing that I'm aware of. Just have to keep the bag open (use one of the F keys) so you don't have to have your whole inventory screen open. Then keep it out of the way but close enough to click.

F-9 is your friend but you still need to point and click

Although I have heard of macros/programs that will pinpoint mouse coordinates and allow you to program a pointer to click where you want it too. (handy for the Drunkard title) But sounds botish to me and I would not advise.
